2026 TLA Landscape Expo
On Wednesday 26th August, Breen exhibited at the 2026 TLA Landscape Expo at the Howie Pavilion, Sydney Showground, run by The Landscape Association. Natalie and Geoff represented Breen on the day, running a stall showcasing our recycled mulch, soil, and aggregate range directly to the landscape industry.
It was the first time Breen has put its products in front of an industry audience like this.

A different way of connecting with the industry
For 77 years, Breen has largely operated behind the scenes, receiving construction and demolition material at our Kurnell facility, processing it, and supplying recycled product back into Sydney’s construction and civil sectors. The expo was a chance to do something different, standing at a stall and talking directly to the people who use what we make.
With more than 1,500 industry professionals through the door across the day, the conversations were genuinely encouraging. Landscape contractors, designers, and suppliers were interested in more than whether recycled mulch, soil, and aggregate work. They wanted to know whether Breen could supply it reliably, at the quality and price they needed for real projects.
What we took away
The demand for recycled material in the landscape industry is real, and it’s ahead of where some of the public conversation still sits. Nobody at our stall needed convincing that recycled product is a legitimate choice. The questions were about consistency, quality, and supply, exactly the standard we’ve built our operation around at Kurnell.
It’s exactly the kind of feedback that reinforces why Breen takes independent verification seriously. Every product we supply is backed by our Green Star audit compliance and NATA testing, so contractors and designers specifying our material can do so with confidence.
What’s next
Following the expo, Breen is looking at what a closer relationship with The Landscape Association could look like going forward.
