Empowering Community Growth
We are invested in our community and pride ourselves on partnering with those who share our vision of embracing growth, connection and positive impact.
Our sponsorships support local initiatives, events, and programs that strengthen the bonds within our community and contribute to a brighter future for all. We’re making meaningful strides with our sponsors to uplift and empower the places we call home.

Greenhills Skate Park
Greenhills Skate Park offers a skateable area of approximately 1600m2. It has a bowl area featuring a large vertical transition, a street zone with stair sets and a snake run area that pays homage to the early days of skateboarding.
The skate park was designed and built by Convic in collaboration with Breen, Council, local skaters and Shire residents.

Marang Parklands Hockey Fields
Marang Parklands, formerly Greenhills Parklands, was renamed in consultation with local Indigenous representatives and the community to recognise and acknowledge Dharawal as the first language in the Sutherland Shire.
The word ‘Marang’, meaning ‘Sandhill’, recognises the historical landscape of the area.
The Marang hockey fields are the home of the Sydney South Hockey Association. This state-of-the-art facility consists of two synthetic hockey fields and is capable of hosting state championships.
Sponsors of Cronulla Training Surf Program
We are delighted to continue our support of the Cronulla High School Targeted Surfing Program, which enables young surfers to enhance their skills in the water and the classroom. We have been a large supporter for a few years now. Providing mental health sessions with one wave and various well-being-focused opportunities is all it takes. The program is in its 4th year and has seen many successes.
We look forward to supporting the program’s growth.

Restoring Kurnell Underwater Seaweed Forest
Operation Crayweed began in 2018 to restore the lost seaweed on the 80km stretch of Sydney’s coastline due to pollution. Tom Breen took an interest in the project and decided to fund it in Kurnell, which is located 6km from Breen Resources’ home for the past 70 years (330 Captain Cook Drive, NSW 2231).

Charlotte Breen Boats
The Breen family began sponsoring Elouera Surf Club in 1966 and still do to this day. There have been 13 Charlotte Breen life-saving surf boats donated over the years, with one even making its way to Britain for a rescue mission, which you can read about here.

Clean Up Australia Day
Breen first got involved in Clean Up Australia Day in 2022 and it is now an annual event for us. Our team members dedicate their time to clean up rubbish for the day in the Kurnell area.

The Shire Return and Earn
Across our 92-hectare site in Kurnell, we have numerous purple bins in aid of the Shire return and earn scheme. This scheme allows plastic bottles to be donated to Kurnell Primary School.

Educating The Next Generation
We run an annual colour drawing competition with Kurnell Primary School. The drawings are focused on recycling, the importance of the circular economy, and how we can apply these resource efficiencies in school and at home.
